Welcome to Meritwise. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Meritwise trading journal platform, owned and operated by Meritwise Enterprises Limited (“Meritwise,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding agreements in Nigeria or your local jurisdiction to use our platform.

2. Accounts

• You are responsible for providing accurate information during registration.
• You must keep your login credentials secure and confidential.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Subscription & Payments

Meritwise provides free access with limited monthly usage. A subscription upgrade (currently ₦1,999 per month) may be required for extended access. Payments are processed securely via trusted third-party providers (such as Paystack or Coinbase Commerce). We do not store your payment card or crypto details.

4. Use of the Platform

Our platform allows you to record trades, deposits, withdrawals, savings, notes, and other personal financial data for analysis. You agree to use Meritwise for lawful purposes only. Prohibited uses include:

• Attempting to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt our systems.
• Submitting fraudulent, misleading, or harmful data.
• Using the platform for money laundering or other unlawful financial activities.

5. Data & Analytics

You retain ownership of the data you enter. By using the platform, you grant Meritwise a license to process and display your data in order to provide analytics, insights, and features. We will never sell your personal data.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, software, and branding on the platform are the property of Meritwise Enterprises Limited. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without prior written consent.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep the platform available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, updates, or technical issues may result in temporary downtime.

8. Disclaimers

Meritwise is an organizational and record-keeping tool. We do not provide financial, trading, or investment advice. All trading decisions are your responsibility. We are not liable for losses arising from your trading activities.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meritwise Enterprises Limited shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time by closing your account.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Nigeria.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes indicates your acceptance.
